Morning Beat

An energizing work at your own pace, way to start your day! This is a well-rounded workout where you will be doing basic step aerobic moves, choreographed to fun music for your aerobic conditioning. Muscle toning and endurance comes next, also to music, targeting the whole body. You finish up with a nice stretch ready to face what the day unfolds! Total Body Blast

Blast your fitness to the next level!  This class will provide the variety your body needs to see improvement.  It will combine muscle conditioning with bursts of cardio in a boot camp like format to get your heart pumping.  Any fitness level welcome.  Modifications can always be made to push you to beat your biggest competition, yourself!  This class is taught by Liz Bissen. Indoor Cycling

With so many cardio routines to choose from it may be hard to decide which to try – once you understand the benefits of Indoor Cycling, you will definitely want to get started on a class. Only 14 bikes, first come, first serve.

  • Strengthens your heart and lungs
  • Decreases risk for heart disease, osteoporosis and some forms of cancer
  • Provides excellent toning of major muscle groups including gluts, hamstrings and quads
  • No impact on joints as with many other sports and activities
  • No special techniques or complicated moves to learn – Indoor cycling is easy. You will be trained on how to fit to a bike and offered many positions for your workout
  • The rider is in control of his intensity of the workout
  • Great releaser and mood enhancer
  • Promotes better sleep
  • Any age can benefit regardless of age, prior experience or fitness level

These classes are taught by Eric Chipman, Mike Wohlhutter, Lisa Jones & Hope Chipman.  Eric works for the Myrtue Medical Center – Physical Therapy Department and is a Physical Therapist, Mike, has also taught this class since 2010, and Lisa & Hope are our newest additions to teaching.  All the Instructors are accredited Indoor Cycling Instructors. Generation Fit

This is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity and offering social events. Taught by Pat Hemminger and Jackie Alberti, both Certified Instructors. This class is for anyone just starting out with exercise or just trying to keep in shape. Unlock the door to greater independence and a healthier life with Generation Fit. The class benefits include:

  • access to conditioning classes, exercise equipment, using a chair, exercise band and ball
  • customized classes designed for older adults who want to improve their strength, flexibility, balance and endurance
  • Choreographed to music for eye-hand coordination and for your enjoyment

SilverSneakers©- MSROM

Muscular, Strength, Range of Motion. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercise designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and /or standing support. Taught by certified SS instructor, Jackie Alberti who also has her degree in Exercise Science. Times: Tue/Thu at 10:05 AM

YogaFit…the Yogafit Way

YogaFit is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. YogaFit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness. The YogaFit style reduces the risk of injury and augments recovery for ailments including stress, lower back pain and tension. Taught by YogaFit accredited instructor, Mary Sue Murtaugh. Circuit Xtreme

Circuit training is a combination of high-intensity aerobics and resistance training designed to be easy to follow and target fat loss, muscle building and heart fitness. An exercise “circuit” is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program. When one circuit is complete, one begins the first exercise again for another circuit. Traditionally, the time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise. Melanie Pryor and Brandi Pieken instruct these classes and are both certified Group X instructors and personal trainers. Times: Tue/Thu at 9:00 AM


This class is designed by Jamie Huinker who is a certified kick box teacher as well an accredited dance instructor for Harlan Dance and Tumbling. This class is designed of course for aerobic conditioning but also for many it’s a workout of choice due to the intense interval training and powerful punches and kick combos. Great for toning and strengthening the entire body.  Get started today at your level and soon you will be kicking your heels! Times: Mon/Wed/Fri at 9:15 AM

Firm & Chisel

This class is not meant for the faint of heart! We will be doing major strength training, focused on different sections of the body always done in a different order to achieve maximum muscle confusion. High intensity cardio bursts in between. Great lunch break class! Come in when you get here and leave when you need to be back to work.  Taught by Mel and Brandi. Times: Mon/Tues/Fri at 11:00 AM

Step On Up 1

Team building through group exercise and team sports. Varied workouts to ensure a high enjoyment factor and a workout for the brain. Step aerobics are incorporated to ensure cardiovascular health as well as to work on balance, stability and coordination. All in all a great workout and a fun time. All fitness levels are encouraged to attend. Taught by Mario. Times: Mon/Wed/Fri at 6:00 PM

Step On Up 2

Step On Up 2 is an intermediate level class that is open to people of all fitness levels. This class will offer ever-changing workouts to promote total body fitness. Step On Up 2 includes workouts that will increase cardio respiratory fitness, muscular endurance, and muscular strength. Strength training, circuit training, and interval training are some of the types of training we will do in this class. Step On Up 2 is a great class to pair with Step On Up 1.
