4th Grade Class Donates to Help Autism

Ms. Laurie Mathis and her 4th grade class at Harlan Intermediate School recently raised money for a class project.  Because they have a student with Autism in their class, they decided to donate money to the Myrtue Medical Center Rehab Department, the public library, and the school library to purchase books and therapy materials to improve the lives of those with autism and create more awareness about Autism in our community.  Pictured are Mrs. Mathis’ class along with Michael Burris from the Harlan Public Library, Edie Shetler from the Myrtue Medical Center Rehab Department, and Mrs. Fink from the Harlan Intermediate School Library.
